About the Author

Frank Trovato has taught demography and population studies at the University of Alberta since his appointment in 1983. He is the editor of Canadian Studies in Population, the official journal of the Canadian Population Society (he is also a past president) and a past director of the Population Research Laboratory (PRL) at the University of Alberta.
